Inside the shed

Come and see six tables under one old roof.

The main floor holds six tables under the shed's original roofline, each one far enough from the next that a quiet heads-up game doesn't have to compete with a loud table of Texas Hold'em.

A closer look inside

Look up and find the old beams.

A poker hand fanned out on felt

Each table sits under its own low lamp, with just enough space between them to keep one game from spilling into the next.

Our dealer works the room rather than one table, checking in on each game through the evening and stepping in wherever needed.

Look up and the shed's original beams are still there, weathered but solid, holding up a roof that's outlasted every boat it once sheltered.

  • Table spacing

Six tables spread wide enough for two games to run side by side

  • Overhead lighting

A low lamp per table, kept dim beyond the felt itself

  • The roofline

Original beams from the shed's boat-hire years, still overhead today

Around the tables

Know this before you join a game.

We ask newer players to say so when they sit down, so the dealer can slow the pace and talk them through the hand rankings and the first few hands without anyone feeling rushed or singled out.

We keep small tables balanced wherever we can, and a solo player who turns up on the night is usually matched with someone else in the same position.

We run two or three variants side by side most evenings, so it's always worth asking the dealer which table suits the mood you're after tonight.
